We are always pleased to have Tommy Tucker Live Music Tucson Delectables Fourth. Starting at 7pm until 10pm listen to Mr. Tucker and his unusual guitar.  Tommy plays high energy solo blues on “the world’s lowest tuned guitar”. It is actually a bass tuned 6 string electric guitar.  It is tuned one full octave lower than standard. This low tuning creates an unusually big solo guitar sound.   This makes it instantly identifiable and provides an excellent backup to Tommy’s strong vocal style.

Hi, My name is Tommy Tucker. I am a solo singer/songwriter from Tucson, Arizona. I play the Bajo Sexto, which is a very low-tuned twelve string guitar (tuned one full octave lower than a standard twelve string). I love its big, full sound it really fills out a solo act.

I am also passionate about the art of solo guitar improvisation.

My style is a bluesy, jazzy, Country, Rocky IV blend!

I have been a professional performer and guitar instructor in Tucson for over twenty-five years.

Awards  1st Place winner of the Guitar Festival and Competition held in the Mediterranean island of Cyprus, in association with Eastern Mediterranean University. In addition to winning the first place award of $700, the special prize was also presented to Joshua Rhoads in the form of a classical guitar valued at $4,500 in 2003.

With his heart and   fingers connected to the acoustic blues of the Mississippi delta,Stefan has taken the music he loves and created a great styling of his own. His songwriting, slide guitar prowess and “smoke ‘n whiskey” voice have won him fans and awards.

One of Tucson’s best-loved singer/songwriters, Stefan George has won award after award for his evocative songwriting and luminous guitar playing. He was a New Folk Award Finalist at the Kerrville (Texas) Folk Festival in 1996, a Telluride Bluegrass Festival Troubadour Finalist in 1996, and a Tucson Area Music (TAMMY) award winner in 1994, 1995 and 1997 — with 1997 awards in Best Songwriter, Best Solo Acoustic Performer and Best Acoustic Ensemble categories. In addition, this versatile musician hosted the “Blues Summit” at the 1997 Kerrville Folk Festival and has been invited back to Kerrville ever since. Stefan was a featured Showcase artist at South By Southwest in 1991 and 1994. He has also performed in concert with David Wilcox, Norman Blake, Bill Miller, Rory Block and Bill Morrissey, to name but a few.
